On August 17, 2022, the official teaser for the new Netflix series Wednesday Addams, created by Tim Burton, was uploaded on YouTube.
Along with Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzman, Gwendoline Christie, and Christina Ricci, Jenna Ortega played the titular character in Wednesday Addams.
It is a detective story with mystical elements that follows Wednesday Addams‘ years as a student at Nevermore Academy.
It’s amazing how varied each actress’s version of Wednesday’s grin is. Wednesday by Christina Ricci has a fluidity and a joyful feeling that feel so out of place to Wednesday that it makes it seem like an alien species imitating mankind. With Jenna Ortega’s Wednesday, you get the impression that she naturally smiles and has the joy that goes with with it, but only while she’s practicing her sadism.
Tim Burton’s involvement in the production of this series adds to the excitement for it. The reason why people adore Tim Burton’s movies is that they manage to be both fanciful and scary at the same time.
The character of Wednesday is so well-known, therefore it will be thrilling to see Jenna (a great actor) portray the part.
